Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is hospitalized for a heart procedure to treat artery blockage. The campaign canceled all future events until further notice.
During the 2016 presidential campaign, the Vermont Senator committed to releasing his medical records. Hillary Clinton won the democratic nomination. Senator Sanders did not have to release them after the fact.
Senator Sanders has been a strong advocate for the middle class for decades. He tweeted yesterday that “Defeating Trump is not enough. We need leadership that will fight for working families and the shrinking middle class, not just the 1%. That is exactly what I have done my whole life and what I am prepared to do as president.” That abovementioned tweet came after the Senator announced that he raised $25 million over the past three months.
According to the campaign, the average donation was $18.07. The American middle class and below have been showing unyielding support for the Senator.
The senator is only 78-years old; his supporters should be worried, but we wish him a full and speedy recovery.
